Seller Guide

Your Guide to Getting Started on slipcherie

This guide helps you get off to a successful start as a seller on slipcherie.

First Steps

Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile is your calling card. Take the time to make it appealing:

  • Profile picture: Choose a photo that represents you
  • Description: Tell something about yourself and your style
  • Media gallery: Upload photos and videos to bring your profile to life

Verification

Before you can list items, you'll go through our verification process. This builds trust with your buyers and ensures a safe community.

Listing Items

How to Create a Great Listing

  1. Photos: Upload multiple high-quality photos from different angles. Follow the rules: No adult content.
  2. Title: Choose a descriptive title that accurately describes the item
  3. Description: Describe the item — material, condition, special features. Tip: Play with your visitors' imagination.
  4. Category: Select the appropriate category so buyers can easily find your item
  5. Price: Set a fair price. The base price always applies to a wear duration of 1 day. You can offer additional wear durations as well as finishing options to choose from.

Finishing Options

You can offer your buyers additional options, for example:

  • Various wear durations
  • Special packaging
  • Personal extras
  • Digital content (photos, videos)

Set up these options in your profile settings under "Finishing Options." Here you can define templates (descriptions and prices).

Custom Requests

Enable the "Custom Requests" feature so buyers can send you personal requests. When someone sends you a request, you'll receive a notification with a description and a price suggestion. You can accept the request directly, which completes a purchase. Payment is processed through slipcherie as a platform. If you don't like the content of a request, you can decline it or send the request back with a counter-proposal. The counter-proposal can include both content and price adjustments. So you always have the final say.

Managing Orders

Incoming Orders

When a buyer orders an item from you, you'll receive a notification along with the buyer's payment including a flat-rate shipping allowance. In your dashboard, you can see all open and completed orders.

Shipping

Ship the item within the specified processing time. Important: always use a shipping method with tracking (DHL parcel) — this protects both you and the buyer. Providing the tracking number is required to complete the order.

Earnings and Payouts

  • You receive 70% of the sale price, paid out immediately upon receipt of a new order
  • The platform retains a small commission to cover platform operations, payment processing, and support

Tips for Your Success

  • List new items regularly — active profiles are discovered more often
  • Respond to requests quickly — good service leads to positive reviews
  • Keep your profile up to date — fresh photos and descriptions attract new buyers

Last but not least: Present yourself authentically and in an unobtrusive way. As is often the case in life, the same applies here: quality over quantity. To increase your visibility, it's not necessary to relist the same item over and over again. Instead, focus on a stylish and appealing presentation of your profile and your items — the rest will happen on its own.
